Trademarked the name SpecCoat, specializing in conformal coating and potting. New accounts added this year include Trimble Navagation, Javad, Team Oracle USA, ADDC, Plexus Fremont and more. Over twenty new accounts in all industries added to our customer list. Purchased Nordson Automated Optical Inspection system equipped with blacklight capabilities.
Moved into our new 25,000 square foot facility. Purchase another PVA robotic conformal coating machine.

In addition to its current capabilities of Conformal Coating and Potting and Encapsulation, Specialized Coating Services will offer Parylene Coating beginning early in 2012! The Parylene coating equipment is already in-place as is our new Parylene Coating Manager, who comes to us with over 10 years of experience in parylene coating. The company also plans to certify to AS9100 during the first half of the year.
Parylene was introduced early 2012 and is now part of our conformal coating line. We continue to grow with new customers coming from all industries. Assistance in the electric automotive and heavy equipment industry continues to grow. We won a three year contract with NAVAIR in China Lake.
Began move to new larger facility. We were instrumental in bringing back one company from Mexico and another from China to have manufacturing and coating done here in the United States. Thanks to the confidence of our customers in our abilities and capabilities, the company again experiences amazing growth, closing out the year with just over 100 employees. Several of those new employees include a Sales and Marketing Manager; Supply Chain Manager; Quality Engineer; and a Document Control Supervisor. In addition to maintaining its ISO 9000:2008 certification, the company certifies for the first time to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2007. Specialized Coating Services announces the purchase of a 21,800 square foot facility next door to its current facility in Fremont, bringing total square footage to 38,000!2010
Specialized Coating once again experiences significant growth in all segments of its business with a total of 75 employees. A 3rd Program Manager is added to the staff to keep our lines of communication with all of our customers strong. In addition, we strengthen our Finance and Accounting area with the addition of a Controller. On the equipment side, the company invested in an Aqueous Technologies Zero Ion Ionic Testing System, 3 Asyemtek systems, 3 Graco Pump systems, and a freezer for storing underfill materials.2009
Due to its broad customer base spread over many industries, the company is not significantly affected by the down economy. It hires a Quality/Document Control specialist to control and maintain documentation and perform internal audits. Replaces its existing wash system with a state-of-the-art Aqueous Technologies Trident III Duo Wash System. In addition to increasing the number of ovens throughout the facility, Specialized Coating Services upgrades ESD controls by adding overhead air ionizers and ESD continuous monitoring systems to all work stations.2008
